This symposium will:
1.Present scholarly and practical work that explores how students of color experience racism in K-12 schooling, and how school leaders can avoid being complicit in the process.
2.Demonstrate how critical race theory and critical inquiry can inform leadership preparation, practice and community engagement/partnerships.
3.Offer insight into socially just practices that promote equity, excellence and access in K-12 educational contexts.
